| NEWS UPDATE JUNE 2010... Available supplies from European Growers will be similar to 2009 but harsh Winter conditions have affected some plantations in Denmark and Germany which may have an impact on the quality of some of the production. Pressure from Danish growers for a price increase on certain sizes may see some small increases in 2010. Trees above 2m are most vulnerable as many growers are selling everything within a plantation once it is above 1.75m. However, it is most likely that prices in 2010 will be similar to 2009 with scope for some decrease on trees below 1.75m in 2011, if currency and economic conditions continue to improve. |
